Please Read - Swim Meet this Saturday!

Dear Interlachen Swim Families,

We are excited for our upcoming swim meet at Trinity Prep and look forward to giving our swimmers an opportunity to showcase the skills they have been developing throughout the summer season.

This meet is designed to be a fun, supportive, and educational experience for swimmers of all ability levels. Whether this is your swimmer’s first meet or they have participated in many before, our goal is to help every swimmer build confidence, gain experience, and enjoy the excitement of competition in a positive environment.

Meet Information

📍 Location: Trinity Prep School

🏊 Warm-Ups Begin: 8:30 AM (toes in the water)

⏰ Meet Starts: 9:00 AM

Please plan to arrive no later than 8:15 AM so your swimmer can be checked in and ready for warm-ups.

For families wondering if their swimmer is ready to participate, the answer is absolutely yes. This meet is intended to provide a successful experience for every swimmer. If assistance is needed to complete a lap, swimmers may use a kickboard or pool noodle, and volunteers may be in the water to provide support. The focus of this meet is participation, learning, confidence-building, and fun.

Events Offered

Swimmers will have the opportunity to participate in:

  • 25 Freestyle
  • 25 Backstroke
  • 25 Breaststroke*
  • 25 Butterfly*

Breaststroke and Butterfly are optional events.

Meet Check-In Process

To help the meet run smoothly, swimmers will be assigned a number upon arrival rather than being listed on a traditional heat sheet.

Upon Arrival:

  1. Check in with Coach Elyse, Trinity coach, to receive your swimmer’s number.
  2. Send your swimmer directly to warm-ups with Coach Justin and/or Coach Griffin.
  3. Coach Justin, Coach Megan, and Coach Griffin will guide swimmers throughout the meet and ensure they are in the correct location for each event.

The swimmer number system allows our timers to accurately record results while helping us efficiently organize events.

Once your swimmer is checked in, parents are encouraged to relax, enjoy the meet, and cheer on all of our swimmers while our coaching staff manages the event flow.

Parking & Spectator Information

Families may park in either Trinity Prep parking lot.

Spectators are encouraged to bring folding chairs, as deck seating is limited. Bleacher seating will also be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Volunteers Needed

Trinity swim meets are successful because of the support of families, and they still need volunteers.

Lane Timers Needed
This is one of the easiest volunteer positions and requires no prior experience. We will provide instructions and training before the meet begins.

All volunteers should arrive by 8:15 AM and check in with Coach Elyse (Trinity Coach) upon arrival.

Expected Timeline

  • 8:30 AM – Warm-Ups Begin
  • 9:00 AM – Meet Begins
  • 10:30–11:00 AM – Estimated Conclusion

Please plan to remain through the conclusion of the meet unless you have spoken with a coach beforehand, as swimmers may participate in multiple events throughout the morning.

A Final Note

As coaches, our favorite part of these meets is watching swimmers challenge themselves, try something new, and celebrate their accomplishments. Every swimmer progresses at their own pace, and success looks different for everyone.

Whether your swimmer completes every lap independently, uses equipment for assistance, swims their first legal stroke, or simply gains confidence by stepping up to the starting block, we consider that a victory.

Thank you for your continued support of our swim program. We look forward to a great morning of swimming and cheering on our Interlachen swimmers.

See you at the pool!
